Food for Thought
Food for Thought is a food waste prevention project campaign.
Problem
There is a habitual waste of food in schools. Edible leftovers are disposed in landfill, instead of being shared to deprived communities. Food waste in landfill generates methane and harmful greenhouse gas CH4. Food waste generates 10% GHG emission towards climate change and threatens environmental sustainability (WRAP, 2024) (UNEP, 2021).
Objective
There is a gap in the education to promote sufficiency and appreciation to food.
Educating children would lead them to be ethical consumer and having better awareness to make better decisions in the future. A sustainable future lies in the young generations.
